Swim for free
- Under 24 months Daily Swim is free.
- Reduced rate is available for seniors, students, US Military and persons with a disability.
- Eligible participants may receive free tuition for the following Aquatics programs: Guardian w/ Child Swim Programming (Aqua Babies, Water Tots, and Preschool w/ Guardian), Preschool Swim Lessons (Preschool Levels 1, 2, and 3), Youth Swim Lessons (Levels 1, 2, and 3), Dolphins Swim Team, Individual and Family Pool Passes, Adult Learn to Swim Program.

- Feet first entries only; starting blocks prohibited; circle swim when three or more swimmers are in a lane.

- Diving board available at management's discretion; one person at a time on the board; no flips, spins, backwards or inward dives; no goggles when entering from the diving board.

Pool rules
- All children age 5 and older must use their gender appropriate locker room or the unisex area.
- Any patron with shoulder length hair or longer must be tied back.
- All patrons shall wear a proper, clean bathing suit; cut off shorts, sweat shorts, t-shirts and undergarments are not allowed.
- All patrons swim under the supervision of an EKAC lifeguard on deck.
- All children under the age of 7 and any non-swimmer must be accompanied in the pool by a parent, legal guardian or other adult who is at least 18 years old.
- All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied in the facility by an adult, who must be in attendance at all times.
- Glass containers are not allowed in the building.
- Spectators may watch from the viewing gallery.
- No street shoes or street clothing allowed on deck.
- Food, drinks, and gum are not allowed into the locker rooms, viewing gallery or pool deck.
- Prolonged breath holding not permitted, including hypoxic training and “lung busters”.
- Refrain from running, rough housing and using inappropriate language in the facility.
- Brookline Recreation staff are the only people allowed to teach group and private swim lessons at the facility for a fee.
- We are not responsible for lost or stolen items; lock up all personal items in your locker.
- EKAC staff reserve the right to revoke pool use at any time.
- No person, knowingly having a communicable disease shall be employed or work at the pool.
- No bather shall enter the pool unless he or she first takes a cleansing shower.
- No bather shall wear a bathing suit that is not clean.
- Cloth diapers are prohibited; swim diapers should be fully intact and form fitting.
- No diaper changing shall be allowed in the pool or within 8 feet of the pool.
- No person suffering from a fever, cough, cold, inflammation of the eyes, nasal or ear discharges, or any communicable disease shall be allowed to use the pool.
- No person with open sores or other evidence of skin disease, or who is wearing a bandage or medical covering of any kind, shall be allowed to use the pool.
- No person shall spit or in any other way contaminate the pool, or its floors, walkways, aisles or dressing rooms.
- The Diving Well may be used only when there are enough EKAC Lifeguards on duty. EKAC Management has discretion on when to allow aqua-jogging or to open the diving board.
- All children must pass our “Deep End Test” and be wearing the wristband issued by the EKAC Lifeguard prior to using the diving well.
- Only one person at a time is allowed on the diving board.
- The diving board fulcrum must be kept in the forward position.
- Walk, don’t run, on the diving board.
- The diver is allowed only one bounce off the diving board.
- We do not allow flips, spins, backwards or inward dives.
- We do not allow side jumps or dives; enter the pool straight forward from the diving board.
- Once you have jumped off the board, swim directly to the nearest ladder and exit the diving well.
- We do not allow patrons to wear goggles when entering the Diving Well from the diving board.
- We only allow feet first entries only in the Lap Pool.
- Use of the starting blocks is prohibited.
- When entering the pool, place yourself in the appropriate lane according to your speed.
- When joining a lane with one or more swimmers, please announce your presence to avoid collision.
- If three or more swimmers are in a lane, circle swim by staying to your right at all times.
- Allow faster swimmers the opportunity to pass you if necessary, preferably at either end of the lane.
- Swimming in the lap lane is continuous; do not stop in the middle of the lane.
- Do not hang on the lane lines.
- For your safety, EKAC lifeguards may require any adult with questionable swim ability to take our "Deep End Test".
Good to know
- Pool schedule is published as a Google Sheets document linked from the official page; hours are not listed on the website itself.
- Rentals are available Saturdays, 3-5pm OR 4-6pm; Sundays, times TBD.
- Swim Passes are non-refundable and valid for 1 year from the date of purchase (NO EXCEPTIONS).
- As of 2025, the funding for Brookline Recreation's scholarship and "Equity Initiative" programs previously supported by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), has come to an end. To ensure the sustainability of these offerings, limits will be placed on the type and amount of programming available.
- Tuition assistance is not available for private swim lessons.
